“PROTECTS WHAT’S GOOD"
Tetra Pak essentially is waterproof packaging that is ecologically sound. It is used for many drink cartons and food packaging today which is why I thought it would be an ideal solution for paint packaging. when you consider packaging for food air-tight and protecting the contents from the light are important! This was an aspect that Peter from Edward Bulmer considered curcial for the packaging! The Material Breakdown..
The packaging is easily recyclable! It can be repulped in a paper recycling mill. When it's
soaked in water, the wood fibres work free from the plastic and
aluminium, so the separated materials can be turned into new products.
This multi layer material seems ideal to act as a container for paint however it isn't very robust and could be damaged easily. Outer-packaging could be needed to re-enforce it.
